I'm unbelievably excited to add these palettes to my collection. I had been eyeing off the eyeshadow palette for a while, and I suppose you could say the Face Form was a bit of an impulse buy.
I ordered off the Sleek website, which I will link down below. I chose the basic postage and delivery (4-10 working days), and I believe it arrived on the 9th or 10th day, which is pretty good.
Left: i-Divine Oh So Special, right: Face form (light)
Top left to right (eyeshadow palette): Bow, Organza, Ribbon, Gift Basket, Glitz, Celebrate
Bottom left to right: Pamper, Gateau, The Mail, Boxed, Wrapped Up, Noir.
Face Form left to right: Contour, highlighter, blush.
The eyeshadow palette comes with 12 shades, and is a mineral based eyeshadow palette. It has seven matte shades, and five "shimmer" shades. It also comes with a basic double-ended eyeshadow padded brush. I'm really not a fan at all of these brushes, so I won't be using it.
On the box packaging the shadow comes in, it has a guide to create "flattering feminine eyes", which I have not yet tried. I haven't even used the palette yet! The actually packaging of the palette itself is a matte black, plastic case. It's super easy to open, and to store away. However, it does feel a bit like scratching your nails down a chalkboard. That feeling haunts me.. -- Anyway, moving on.
Top left to right: Bow, Organza, Ribbon, Gift Basket, Glitz, Celebrate.
The majority of the colours are super pigmented, as it states on the packaging.
Bow: is a white/creamy colour, which could be used as a base, or a brow highlight if you don't want shimmer.
Organza: A beigy grey mushroom colour, it is a shimmer.
Ribbon: Brighter in person than in the swatch picture. It is a matte muted-ish pink.
Gift Basket: A bronzy/chocolate brown shimmer.
Glitz: A lovely, and I mean super lovely and pigmented shimmer navy/deep sea blue. Seriously gorgeous, guys.
Celebrate: A deep plum-maroon shimmer. One of my three favourites. It's completely lovely.
Sorry about the bad angle..
Bottom left to right: Pamper, Gateau, The Mail, Boxed, Wrapped Up, Noir.
Pamper: A super baby, pastel barbie pink matte shade.
Gateau: A dull, greyish purple/pinky shimmer colour. This shade reminds me of one from the Too Faced Boudoir eyeshadow palette. Another favourite!
The Mail: A orange/caramel brown colour. Matte.
Boxed: A beautiful deep matte dark chocolate brown.
Wrapped Up: A muted, greyish deep purple plum colour. It is super lovely, and it is matte.
Noir: A super pigmented matte black.
Now, moving on to the Face Form palette! I completely adore this palette.
Left to right: Contour, Highlighter, Blush.
The contour is a beautiful light brown. It is completely matte! The reason why I love this palette so much is because I am extremely fair, and I'm always worried that contours and bronzers will make me look muddy. However, this is not the case. It is super beautiful, and doesn't make me look orange at all.
The highlighter is super duper shimmery, which I love. I actually don't own any powder highlighters, so that's also why I was keen to get my hands on this bad boy! I love it. I have tried, how would you say it? -- Creamy liquidy highlighters, which I'm not a huge fan on. Maybe I'm just bad at applying them. Who knows. This highlighter here is a winner for me.
Last but not least, the blush. This is a beautiful colour. It looks like a pinky/coral colour, and appears to have tiny gold flecks/sparkle in it. I never really buy pink blushes because, let's face it, I have red hair and don't think I can pull them off, personally. This colour is gorgeous. It honestly reminds me of the Nars Orgasm blush, however, it is slightly less pigmented than that. Overall, it is so lovely.
The packaging is the same as the eye-shadow palette, just smaller. However, don't be fooled, the sizes of the actual compartments inside are pretty big!
Overall, I am completely stoked with these Sleek palettes I purchased. The eyeshadow palette goes for $11.99aus, and the face form was $14.99, which is super affordable and completely worth the money! The basic shipping was inexpensive, I'm pretty sure I paid like $3.50 or something. Which is seriously so good.
I love the eyeshadow palette, and it does come in a HUGE range of other shades! The colours and pigments are crazy good. The only thing I wasn't that much of a fan on is the Noir black matte colour. It felt really scratchy and not as fine and silky as the other colours. Obviously some of the lighter colours were less bright than I expected. I really do need to test them on myself. However, they are super lovely and you really can't go wrong with this palette!
The Face Form is completely worth every penny. It does come in multiple shades to suit every skin tone. I don't have anything bad to say about it. Price-good! Colours-Good! Pigments??? Good! The palette definitely suits my pale skin tone, and when this runs out, I will definitely re-purchase! I will also definitely be re-purchasing products from Sleek.
I hope this swatch review helped you guys out. :) The products are super duper, and I recommend them to anyone!
Congratulations on your first beauty post! :)
ReplyDeleteGateau is such a beautiful colour!!! Can't wait to hear how these blend and their lasting power on your eyes.
You have lots of experimenting to look forward too! :)
Thanks Lisa! <3 :)
ReplyDeleteI really can't wait to try it. It's killing me not being able to try so many of my new palettes! I have barely tried out my Too Faced Boudoir :(
Sure do! xo
