Top 3 hand-creams.

Hey guys, so today I'm talking about my top 3 favourite go-to hand creams that I absolutely live for, because let's face it-- I'd be lost without them.

In no particular order:
1) Aveeno - Intense Relief Hand Cream.
2) Body Shop - Hemp Hand Protector
3) Jungle Brolly - Liquid Gloves/Hand Shield

Left to right: Aveeno, Body Shop, Jungle Brolly.

I'm a life sufferer of eczema. I used to just get it on my hands and in the creases of my body, such as inside of my arms, and behind my knees, as well as wrists. I'm pretty sure it all started because I was in grade 2 eating packs of twisties, which back then I didn't know I was allergic to. :')
Even today, I am no-where near finding an absolute godsend way of getting my eczema under control. It has gotten worse over the years, to the point where I get it all over my body. Any place I scratch, it appears. I swear it was worse a few years ago before I was diagnosed with Fructose Malabsorption. I honestly believe that played a HUGE part in how bad my skin was.

These products, though don't work on my entire body (I have to result to some extreme creams sometimes, which I'm not a fan of doing, but when you absolutely can't get it under control, you need a bit of extra help), they do work on my hands.
I do work part-time which involves food handling, and continuous maintaining of hygiene standards. The industrial soup is a KILLER for my hands. I do have to buy my own gloves, as I believe the latex and powder simply destroys my skin in seconds. I can actually feel my skin start to get irritated and crack.
These products have helped me SO much throughout work and just being able to perform tasks in my everyday life.

Aveeno - Intense Relief Hand Cream
This product has worked well for my hands. Although, it does take a little longer to work than others, and a lot more and frequent use of it is also why it helped me. When my eczema and skin problems aren't that bad, this is a good product for me to use. Works super well on my insanely sensitive skin. It's a bit liquidy to begin with, but rubs and soaks into the skin completely. It is non-greasy, which I adore.
However, the moment my skin starts to head down a dark path, and I cannot maintain a high usage frequency with this cream, it doesn't help. I have to start moving on to the next best thing to take control.
You can purchase this product at supermarkets, pharmacies/chemists, etc. There are so many places. And, the good news is, it is super affordable, and then some. It is always on sale somewhere, which makes it even better.
I recommend this product to anyone that suffers dry hands, that just needs a little bit of moisture, and to prevent cracking and drying out completely. It is travel friendly as it's a great size, and lasts a fair while! It's also great for those with sensitive skin. Pretty sure it's fragrance free which is a huge bonus!

Body Shop - Hemp Hand Protector
This is my holy grail. Honestly, I've been using it for years since mid-way high school. I don't think I could stand a day without this product. It's always, and I mean ALWAYS in my bag, wherever I go. It is just that good. I recommend this to everyone I know who suffers similar skin conditions, and they love it. They just can't get over how well it works. It is super moisturizing and honestly makes my skin go to a better place. No, this product nor any other hand cream can take complete control over my eczema when it is at its worst, but this baby.. This helps to ensure my hands DON'T get to that bad place. You guys seriously have to try this product. It costs like, $24aus at The Body Shop for like, 100ml. There is a smaller tube, which is even MORE travel friendly. I could ramble on about this product, but everyone needs to try it. I swear by this product.
It soaks into the skin great. Super efficient for sensitive skin. Non-greasy. It has a pleasant smell that is far from a chemical scented product. Just try it.

Jungle Brolly - Liquid Gloves/Hand Shield
My dad introduced me to this product. He works in an industry where he is constantly having to use extreme industrial soaps and what-not, and being an eczema sufferer as well, he has trouble maintaining un-cracked skin. This cream is a god-send for those who need something to help protect against those chemical nasties. It is crazy good. Although, it doesn't moisturize or help my eczema really clear up in any way, it DOES prevent my eczema from getting any worse. It does exactly what it says it does -- it's liquid gloves and a hand shield. It honestly creates a friendly barrier between your hands and terrible chemicals. I love it. I believe this product is a little more costly than others. I'm pretty sure you can google their website and order products from there, but maybe Chemist Warehouse sells it, too? Or Priceline. I'm not 100% sure, so don't quote me, guys!
This product is heavenly. It has a .. normal hand-cream type smell? It seriously soaks into the skin so well, I love it. It's non-greasy. I know I keep slamming this whole "non-greasy" stuff, but I HATE it when products leave my hands sticky and slimy. You just can't do anything.
Invest in this product, and you won't be sorry.

I hope I've helped out some of you with this blog-post. These are just my personal favourite hand products that work for me. I've tried and tested SO many damn hand-creams to help cure or control my eczema. I've seriously used so much, and spent an incredible amount throughout my life trying to find something. These products for me are just wonderful. I honestly could not live without them, and that's saying something.

Lime Crime swatches & review

Hey guys, I received my first two Lime Crime products a few days ago! How exciting. I had been debating for months whether or not I was going to purchase some LC lipsticks. I was looking and swatches, reviews, you name it. I finally decided to give in and buy an Opaque lipstick and a Velvetine.
I purchased "Babette" and "Suedeberry" from Makeupnet which I will post a link down below for you guys to check out if you haven't already.

This is the super cute packaging that the Lime Crime products came in. I seriously love this unicorn business they have going on.
Left: Suedeberry Velvetine. Right: Babette lipstick.

Sorry about the switcheroo.
Left: Babette. Right: Suedeberry

Babette, the opaque lipstick, like all their others, come in a purple bullet case. It has a unicorn on it and some fancy stars. Twist base. On the website, it was stated that Babette is a pastel coral, which is a sibling to the well known "Coquette".
Suedeberry Velvetine is in a package similar to a gloss. It has a frosted compartment, with a metallic twist lid. I love the product, but I'm not a fan of the frosted feeling. Suedeberry is advertised as a shade similar to that of the iconic Marilyn Monroe.

 Suedeberry has a doe applicator.
This makes it slightly difficult to apply as this lip product requires a clean line and finish. However, it is stated on the box that it works best when a lip liner is applied first, and then filled in with Suedeberry.

Left: Babette. Right: Suedeberry

Babette is a bit more matte than I expected. It is creamy, don't get me wrong. But a little dry. The consistency reminds me slightly of Rimmel lipsticks because they aren't AS moisturising as some other lippies that I have tried. Also, the colour is a bit different than what was shown in the picture. When I receieved it, I swatched and was actually concerned that I was sent the wrong colour. I did some research, and fair enough, some other people had the same issue, that the colour was different to previous ones. I'm a little bit disappointed that it's not the colour I had hoped it would be, but nevertheless, it won't go astray. I definitely need to venture out with my corals.

The colour lasts.. a decent amount I suppose, probably about 2-3 hours for me, WITHOUT drinking or eating. otherwise BAM -- colour is transferred and gone for good. Ultimately, the colour is still beautiful, just a little dry on my lips.

Suedeberry Velvetine is just.. wow. I am honestly never one to use matte like lip products, simply because I naturally have dry lips. I should probably drink more water or something. Anyway, this is probably the first matte product I own. Swatched on my arm took longer to dry and set than it did on my lips. It takes about maybe 1-5 minutes to set. The colour is like CRAZY WOW SO BRIGHT. I honestly could not believe how brightly pigmented this product is! It is insane, I'm telling you. I love it.

I probably wouldn't be able to wear this as an everyday part of my look right now due to restrictions with my make up, but wow. I just cannot wait to play around with this when I am able to do some more eye make up. It is a lovely, lovely colour and I am so glad that I got my hands on this bad boy. Yes, I am a bit hesitant on the whole "matte" side of it. It is a little drying for me, or maybe it's because I'm not used to that level of dryness on my lips. But I mean, it does look super velvet on the lip, so it definitely lives up to it's name as a Velvetine.

Once this baby is on, it's on. As stated, it is touch proof, smudge proof, and kiss proof. The best part is, when removed with make-up remover, it doesn't leave a red stain on your lips! Holy cow. I am well-renowned for constantly touching up and re-applying, but with this, it is definitely a holy grail.

Overall, I do like the products. I prefer the Velvetine over the Opaque lipstick which I am actually surprised. I never thought I'd see the day I'd prefer something over a bullet lipstick. They are lovely products. The lipstick was $23aus, and the Velvetine was $24. Postage was a flat rate of I think about $8-10, but it was express so I got it in like, 2 days. Hooray.

I honestly think I'd have to try out some of their other lipsticks to see how they go, and if they differ on how dry or matte they are, but I guess for now it'll have to wait. Oh. And these products smell like heaven in a jar. Seriously smell freaking amazing. Like.. Vanilla and candy and oh wow. I gave in, I had to try these products. If you want to try them, go ahead! I went for it because Babette and Suedeberry are rarely ever in stock.

Thanks for reading guys. Sorry about the lengthy post. Hopefully it helped in any decision making! xo

Sleek Make Up swatches!

Hey guys, so today I'm reviewing the Sleek i-Divine eye shadow palette in Oh So Special, and the Sleek Face Form palette in the shade 'light'.
I'm unbelievably excited to add these palettes to my collection. I had been eyeing off the eyeshadow palette for a while, and I suppose you could say the Face Form was a bit of an impulse buy.
I ordered off the Sleek website, which I will link down below. I chose the basic postage and delivery (4-10 working days), and I believe it arrived on the 9th or 10th day, which is pretty good.

Left: i-Divine Oh So Special, right: Face form (light)

Top left to right (eyeshadow palette): Bow, Organza, Ribbon, Gift Basket, Glitz, Celebrate
Bottom left to right: Pamper, Gateau, The Mail, Boxed, Wrapped Up, Noir.

Face Form left to right: Contour, highlighter, blush.

The eyeshadow palette comes with 12 shades, and is a mineral based eyeshadow palette. It has seven matte shades, and five "shimmer" shades. It also comes with a basic double-ended eyeshadow padded brush. I'm really not a fan at all of these brushes, so I won't be using it.
On the box packaging the shadow comes in, it has a guide to create "flattering feminine eyes", which I have not yet tried. I haven't even used the palette yet! The actually packaging of the palette itself is a matte black, plastic case. It's super easy to open, and to store away. However, it does feel a bit like scratching your nails down a chalkboard. That feeling haunts me.. -- Anyway, moving on.

Top left to right: Bow, Organza, Ribbon, Gift Basket, Glitz, Celebrate.

The majority of the colours are super pigmented, as it states on the packaging.
Bow: is a white/creamy colour, which could be used as a base, or a brow highlight if you don't want shimmer.
Organza: A beigy grey mushroom colour, it is a shimmer.
Ribbon: Brighter in person than in the swatch picture. It is a matte muted-ish pink.
Gift Basket: A bronzy/chocolate brown shimmer.
Glitz: A lovely, and I mean super lovely and pigmented shimmer navy/deep sea blue. Seriously gorgeous, guys.
Celebrate: A deep plum-maroon shimmer. One of my three favourites. It's completely lovely.

Sorry about the bad angle..
Bottom left to right: Pamper, Gateau, The Mail, Boxed, Wrapped Up, Noir.

Pamper: A super baby, pastel barbie pink matte shade.
Gateau:  A dull, greyish purple/pinky shimmer colour. This shade reminds me of one from the Too Faced Boudoir eyeshadow palette. Another favourite!
The Mail: A orange/caramel brown colour. Matte.
Boxed: A beautiful deep matte dark chocolate brown.
Wrapped Up: A muted, greyish deep purple plum colour. It is super lovely, and it is matte.
Noir: A super pigmented matte black.

Now, moving on to the Face Form palette! I completely adore this palette.

Left to right: Contour, Highlighter, Blush.

The contour is a beautiful light brown. It is completely matte! The reason why I love this palette so much is because I am extremely fair, and I'm always worried that contours and bronzers will make me look muddy. However, this is not the case. It is super beautiful, and doesn't make me look orange at all.
The highlighter is super duper shimmery, which I love. I actually don't own any powder highlighters, so that's also why I was keen to get my hands on this bad boy! I love it. I have tried, how would you say it? -- Creamy liquidy highlighters, which I'm not a huge fan on. Maybe I'm just bad at applying them. Who knows. This highlighter here is a winner for me.
Last but not least, the blush. This is a beautiful colour. It looks like a pinky/coral colour, and appears to have tiny gold flecks/sparkle in it. I never really buy pink blushes because, let's face it, I have red hair and don't think I can pull them off, personally. This colour is gorgeous. It honestly reminds me of the Nars Orgasm blush, however, it is slightly less pigmented than that. Overall, it is so lovely.
The packaging is the same as the eye-shadow palette, just smaller. However, don't be fooled, the sizes of the actual compartments inside are pretty big!

Overall, I am completely stoked with these Sleek palettes I purchased. The eyeshadow palette goes for $11.99aus, and the face form was $14.99, which is super affordable and completely worth the money! The basic shipping was inexpensive, I'm pretty sure I paid like $3.50 or something. Which is seriously so good.
I love the eyeshadow palette, and it does come in a HUGE range of other shades! The colours and pigments are crazy good. The only thing I wasn't that much of a fan on is the Noir black matte colour. It felt really scratchy and not as fine and silky as the other colours. Obviously some of the lighter colours were less bright than I expected. I really do need to test them on myself. However, they are super lovely and you really can't go wrong with this palette!
The Face Form is completely worth every penny. It does come in multiple shades to suit every skin tone. I don't have anything bad to say about it. Price-good! Colours-Good! Pigments??? Good! The palette definitely suits my pale skin tone, and when this runs out, I will definitely re-purchase! I will also definitely be re-purchasing products from Sleek.

I hope this swatch review helped you guys out. :) The products are super duper, and I recommend them to anyone!

About Me.

Hi guys,

My name is Jessica, also referred to as Messy Jessyyy. I am a 20-year old beauty blogger from Melbourne.

I've always loved make up, ever since high school. However, my love and passion for cosmetics has been growing constantly, and ultimately is where my heart lies. I am constantly talking about make up, and offering my advice to friends and family.

Finding some make up has always been a bit difficult for me, especially when it comes to foundation and primer. I have fair/pale skin, and often find it difficult venture with different brands as there are not a lot of colour-range for my skin tone. With the primer fiasco, I have extremely oily skin, and I find myself blotting at about 3 hours! When I find a foundation or primer that works for me, I genuinely tend to stick to it.

I have completely sensitive skin. Eczema, facial redness, acne. You name it. So I'm always careful about what I put on my body and face.

Other than that, I'm really not sure if there is anything else about myself that is worthy of writing down just yet.
